eBay Premium Store Level Is Probably Best | Queen of Auctions

by Lynn Dralle on April 13, 2010

Hi Everyone,

Here’s a great email I got from Valerie.  She’s doing really well after purchasing my Boot Camp In A Box and Dinnerware eBook and she was wondering whether or not I’d recommend getting an anchor store:

Hi Lynn!

I purchased your Boot Camp In A Box and also your Dinnerware book. Although I have been a long time seller on eBay, your information is taking me to a new level and is really broadening my horizons. You have really helped me build my business!

Now, I have a question. I am wondering what type of Store Level you have on eBay. I currently have a Premium Store. I have 4650 listings. With the new eBay fees, I am toying with the idea of getting an Anchor Store. Just wondering what you have and what you recommend.

Thanks for sharing all of your wonderful ideas, experiences, and expertise!

Valerie Strunk

For anyone wondering, here’s my reply:

Valerie,
Thanks for such a nice email!  Don’t get an anchor store.  I tried it once and it is NOT worth the $300 or so per month.  The premium store should be fine for you.  I ran the numbers and I think I needed about 12,000 or 10,000 listings to make it pay off.

Good luck to you!

So now I’m wondering how many of you out there have an anchor store and what level all of you are using.  Let me know, I’d be really interested to hear!

Thanks everyone, and happy eBay-ing!
